This presentation will show the state of the art of firing and boiler design for modern, clean and efficient fossil fired power stations as well as the requirements for future applications in a power production environment of renewable installations as committed by the European community for a proper CO₂ reduction. This presentation addresses the main topics of fossil fired power plants, like applicable steam parameters and associated efficiency gain and the modifications on the firing technology in order to follow the environmental as well as the market requirements.
