Abstract
Conductor selection is one of the key technologies of UHVAC power transmission, which has a very important influence on the safe operation and economic operation of the line. According to the boundary conditions, such as transport capacity, electromagnetic environment, operating temperature, safety factor, the paper makes a comprehensive comparison of the 16 kinds of wires in the electrical and mechanical properties. At the same time, according to the characteristics of different nature of power supply (thermal power, hydropower, nuclear power, wind power), the selection and matching of the units of the supplementary investment, access to electricity, the number of hours per year, and other parameters for the annual cost analysis, the proposed recommendation for the construction of engineering.
