Abstract

To improve the design and the construction management of the pumped-storage power stations in China, the article overall summarizes the experience and lessons of the Guangzhou Pumped-storage Power Station for 20 years from the aspects of reservoir capacity, underground anti-vibration, leakage, drainage, water drainage and filling in the high pressure tunnel and safety monitoring system. The results shown that the design and operation of the hydraulic structures in GPSPS are basically reasonable, but there are still some places worthy of improvement.
