  • VSC-HVDC technology development has been gradually maturing, in the field of wind power grid interconnection and power grid connection has a large number of applications, has accumulated plenty of engineering experience. Because of the characteristics of VSC-HVDC technology, it has the congenital advantage for using in the field of island power supply. This paper combed the VSC-HVDC technology development situation, basic principle and technical characteristics, summarized the development of the technology and the characteristics of the engineering application, analyzed the application in the field of island power supply, and put forward a typical application plan for island power supply system, and put forward some positive ideas and Suggestions.
