Abstract: Linear regression analysis, anomaly value analysis, five-year moving average method and Mann-Kendall method are used to analyze the variation characteristics of global solar irradiance and sunshine duration in Wanshan islands area. Results show that the global solar irradiance has a slightly increasing trend, and monthly global solar irradiance has a unimodal distribution with the highest value in July and lowest value in February. The sunshine duration has a slightly downward trend, and monthly sunshine duration shows a bimodal distribution with the highest value in July and lowest value in March. Analysis and evaluation results of solar energy resource of Wanshan islands show that the average value of global solar irradiance is 4996.25 MJ/m2, which is abundant in solar energy resource. The stability of solar energy resources is 3.7, which is fairly stable.
